About

Students of political theory and cultural anthropology aiming to provide a platform for coordinating individual and group projects that would serve as a worldwide network for scholars and students as well as for initiatives and organizations devoted to the interdisciplinary and comparative study of Latin America, the Caribbean and Central-Eastern Europe.

Going beyond national points of reference, we examine the current intensification of transnational and global trends. Intercultural issues – along with their regional, national and hemispheric context – are of particular interest to this academic forum. We seek to contribute to a decentering of the geopolitics of knowledge by facilitating mutual recognition, discussion and cooperation by addressing problematics and concerns of the contemporary political scene through the prism of anthropologically based approaches together with the International Association of Inter-American studies (IAS).
